Lazy Days

Its been such a great summer, sunny and warm everyday.  Toshi enjoys the warm weather by spending as much time as possible outside.  When he gets a bit tired from his outside treasure hunts you can normally find him relaxing right in front of the door.

Make yourself comfortable

Since its been a bit warm here we thought Toshi would enjoy getting his paws wet, of course we were wrong.  After going in the pool Toshi gets pretty upset with us so he normally runs to his safe place, which is on the couch.  That's exactly what he did this afternoon.

He always manages to find the most comfortable spots.

No Cleaning Please....

Over the past few months I have come to a conclusion that Toshi prefers all things to be left dirty and untidy.  At first I thought it was only his pen area.  Every time I would take his bed and sheets out to be washed he would absolutely freak out.  I slowly learned that this behavior would occur whenever  would make our bed, wash the floors, clean the windows or counter tops and vacuum.  He definitely doesnt make the cleaning easy on me that's for sure.

Family Time

We had my family in town last week, which was tons of fun for Toshi.  He loves having people over the house so it was especially exciting when they were actually staying with us for a few days.  Since we normally do not have guests too often we tend to keep the upstairs bedrooms closed off so Toshi can not get in and destroy things.  I would say one of his favorite things about having guests over was the fact that he had full access to all of the bedrooms including the beds in them.

Toshi had a really great time with my mom and sister and he can't wait for them to come back for another visit.

Woof Woof

Since Toshi is a Shiba its not much of a surprise that he is not a fan of our pool.  Every time we go in it or take him near it he tends to freak out.  Today we found out he does not like rafts in the pool either and he made sure to let the raft know to get out of his yard.

Sleepover

This past weekend we headed up north for a wedding/extended weekend.  While we were gone Toshi went to stay with his best friend Bosco.  This was his first over night trip so we were a little nervous leaving him, but he seemed to have a great time.  From what we heard Bosco and Toshi played the WHOLE time.

We did manage to pick him up a treat while we were gone.  While in San Francisco we went to Dynamo Donuts.  They had some doggie donuts there so we picked one up for Toshi.

We loved the donuts there and i think Toshi felt the same way.

It wasn't long after we got Toshi that we were introduced to the bully bones.  Toshi's grandmother brought them over one night and it was the best thing ever.  At first we would give them to him during dinner time, it was pretty much the only way we could eat and not be interrupted.  Gradually Toshi became less and less obsessed with them.  Now its more of a treat instead of a necessity.
